   主要从事基于功能型生物纳米材料的固体废物处理和有毒有害污染物控制的新原理、新方法和新技术研究,在河流湖泊湿地和底泥污染修复、环境污染物实时监控及吸附、降解研究等领域取得了许多国内外先进水平的创新性成果。

   研究领域:
   (1)基于功能型纳米材料的河湖水体和湿地修复机制;
   (2)改性生物炭材料用于重金属污染河湖底泥修复;
   (3)环境生物传感与重金属/持久性有机物动态监测技术;
   (4)固体废物处理与资源化

   已主持国家自然科学基金项目3项(优秀青年基金项目1项,面上项目1项,青年科学基金项目1项),教育部新世纪优秀人才计划1项,湖南省研究生科研创新基金项目1项等课题,作为主要参与人参与了国家自然科学基金创新群体项目1项、国家自然科学基金重点项目1项、教育部创新团队项目1项和多项国家自然科学基金、“863”计划等科研项目研究。

   研究成果:
   获2017年国家自然科学奖二等奖、2009年度国家技术发明奖二等奖、2016年度湖南省自然科学奖一等奖、2008年度湖南省科技进步奖一等奖(发明奖类)、2007年度湖南省科技进步奖一等奖;全国百篇优秀博士学位论文提名论文、湖南省优秀博士学位论文。先后在环境学科国际权威刊物Applied Catalysis B-Environmental (Top Journal, SCI 2017 IF=11.698)、Environmental Science & Technology (Top Journal, SCI 2017 IF=6.653),Water Research (Top Journal, SCI 2017 IF=7.051),Biosensors and Bioelectronics (Top Journal, SCI 2017 IF=8.173),Desalination (Top Journal, SCI 2017 IF=6.603), Analytical Chemistry (Top Journal, SCI 2017 IF=6.042)等发表SCI论文100余篇,被引用近4000次;已获授权国家发明专利51项;主编著作1部,参与编写著作3部;受邀作国际会议大会报告10余次;获国际环境计量学学会颁发的TIES 2005大会最佳报告。
