           男,工学博士,教授,博士生导师。天津科技大学发酵工程专业硕士(1992),无锡轻工大学(现江南大学)生物工程学院,生物工程专业博士(1995);德国Hannover大学,环境工程专业博士后(2003),日本九州大学高级访问学者(2005),澳大利亚Flinders大学高级访问学者,客座教授。湖南大学跨世纪学术骨干,湖南省高等学校青年骨干教师,湖南省“121人才工程”人选,教育部首批“新世纪优秀人才支持计划”获得者。发表学术论文196篇,其中SCI收录85篇,EI收录98篇,ISTP收录9篇,获得国家授权发明专利15项,出版教材和专著各1部。
  是欧盟委员会水资源创新伙伴计划战略指导委员会委员(2012)(member of Steering group, European Innovation Paternship-Water),湖南省职业技能鉴定委员水处理专业委员会副主任委员,国家科技进步奖评审专家,国内外多家学术期刊审稿人。
