环境科学与工程系（所）副教授李建兵博士（导师：曾光明教授、黄国和教授），现在加拿大University of Northern British Columbia 的 Dept. of Environmenatl Enginering 任 Associate Professsor, 最近连续获得加拿大国家自然科学基金委（NSERC-Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada）及加拿大国家发明委（CFI-Canada Foundation for Inovation）的资助。
加拿大国家自然科学基金委（NSERC）资助李建兵的项目是“ Development of integrated modeling technologies for optimal soil and groundwater remediation”（经费：$ 45,000 )；加拿大国家发明委（CFI）资助李建兵的项目是“ Northern Soil and Groundwater Remediation Research Laboratory”（经费：$ 212,609 )。
李建兵博士的进步将对湖南大学环境科学与工程系（所）的学科建设、人才培养、科学研究等方面产生潜在和现实的极大支持和帮助。
